REVIEW: CLAIROL NICE N' EASY 122 NATURAL BLACK

So I'm back with a review about Clairol Nice N' Easy in 122 Natural Black. When I'm dying my hair at home I usually go with the Revlon brand of hair color but I thought I would switch it up and try something different.. which I'm extremely glad I did!

PROS:
-Easy application (Normal bottle 1 and bottle 2 that you mix together that you saturate your hair with. I like this application as it's quick and easy).
-Quality gloves (This might sound weird but honestly it makes a huge difference. The gloves were thick and sturdy which is so important as you don't want to stain your hands).
-AMAZING conditioner (The conditioner they provide for use after you wash the dye out is absolutely incredible. They give you a pretty generous sized bottle of it and it makes your hair feel as soft as it does as if you were getting your hair professionally done at the salon. Um, Clairol can you please make this for individual sale?)
-True to color (The color on the box is EXACTLY how my hair actually turned out which is so vital. My hair is naturally dark and this color is a tad darker than my natural hair color).
-Leaves hair shiny (My hair looks super healthy and not flat. It looks healthier now than it did before application).

CONS
-Strong smell (Oh wow did this stuff stink. The smell almost made my eyes water with how potent it was. I guess this is expected as it is a permanent dye).
-Messy (Maybe this is just the fault of the person using it, but I got this stuff EVERYWHERE. All over the sink, floor, my skin, clothes etc. This stuff also stains if you don't clean it up fast enough).

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with how my hair turned out after using this product. I may give an update about lasting power in the future. LOVE! :)

DOTD (DINNER OF THE DAY): WEIGHT WATCHERS DINNER IDEA

One thing I would recommend when doing Weight Watchers is PLAN. On Sundays I like to go through my food tracker and plan every day in advance for the week. I cannot tell you how much time this saves me and how much easier it is for me to stay on track when I do this. Unfortunately, I did not plan this Sunday which led me to disaster. I had a very high point lunch today which resulted in me having to eat a smaller meal for dinner.. which is fine. Thankfully, fruits and veggies are 0 points. (P.S. the Krispie Kreme donut I ate with lunch definitely did not help my case. I still enjoyed every bite of it though!)

KALE SALAD:
Kale = 0 Points
Cauliflower = 0 points
Brocoli = 0 Points
Mrs. Dash Garlic Herb Seasoning: 0 Points
OPA Greek Yogurt Feta dill dressing: 2 Points for 2 tablespoons

White Cheddar Laughing Cow Cheese = 1 Point
Keebler Cornbread Crackers = 4 Points for 8 crackers

TOTAL FOR DINNER: 7 Points

I didn't take a picture of dessert but it was AMAZING.

Keebler waffle bowl: 1 Point
Fat Free Cool Whip: 0 Points for 3 tablespoons (I keep mine in the freezer. The consistency is similar to ice cream and it's so good!)
Strawberries: 0 Points
Vanilla Wafers: 1 Point for 3

TOTAL FOR DESSERT: 2 Points

REVIEW: L'OREAL INFALLIBLE EYESHADOW IN ICED LATTE

Review time! Let me just say I'm a sucker for eyeshadow and when I can find a drugstore eyeshadow that is up to par with my beloved high end palettes I am THRILLED. Let's talk about L'oreal infalliable eyeshadow in iced latte.

This eyeshadow is creamy, easy to blend, AND pigmented. As you can see, the pigmentation is on point. Iced latte is a shimmery, almost light golden shade that looks great by itself or underneath another shadow. Personally, I use it on its own on my eyelids as it brings so much light to my eyes. I like to pack it on as the color intensifies the more layers you add.

This swatch is with out any primer underneath. I don't even think this really does any justice but if it helps this is after just one light swipe. How pretty is this? It works great as an inner corner high light as well.

LOVE. I am excited to try other ones. If you have any recommendations let me know :)!

REVIEW: NEW SKINNY COW CHOCOLATE MOUSSE GANACHE ICE CREAM CONES

I have been doing Weight Watchers since January (I have lost 30 pounds so far) and I am always looking for new things to try for dessert that aren't going to break the bank of my daily points. I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth and I cannot go a day without eating something remotely sweet so when I saw these at the grocery store I knew immediately that I needed to try them. Each cone is 4 points which is reasonable for a decent sized ice cream cone (I'd take a picture of one out of the box but I unfortunately ate all of them, hehe).

For 4 points you are a getting creamy chocolate ice cream with an almost whipped cream tasting vanilla flavored ice cream as well as a pretty generous chunk of chocolate. This ice cream doesn't even taste like it's healthy in the slightest. There's no weird texture or flavor, it's just simply a delicious tasting ice cream. My favorite part is the chocolate ganache at the top which is AMAZING. I kind of wish there was more of it but then again, I'd like to keep it low in points! The cone isn't soft, it's crispy and something I love about Skinny Cow ice cream cones: there's a surprise at the bottom of the cone. A nice chunk of chocolate. LOVE.

So basically:
1. Doesn't taste low in fat
2. Yummy ganache piece
3. Crispy cone that isn't soggy
4. Creamy ice cream
5. Obsessed (I am)!!!

Definitely a great treat for dessert that is low in points. I have repurchased these probably four or five times. I also recommend the mint ganache flavor as well! I'm not a huge mint ice cream person but those were delicious as well. :)

I give these a 4/5. I take one point off because unfortunately anywhere I go Skinny Cow is pushing about 5 bucks a box. A little pricey for some of us on a budget but they are so worth it!

REVAMP OF MY BLOG! :)

My hiatus has been entirely too long but I'm back! I realized that one of the reasons I have not updated my blog or kept up with it was because there's so much more to me than just beauty and make up. I love fashion, food, my cat, boyfriend, friends, and of course make up.. so why not make my blog about all of these things? I feel like a blog is your own personal spot in the world of the internet and as much as make up is a huge part of my life there are also so many other things that make me happy as well. My blog will still be about beauty but it's also going to be about other aspects of my life and I am very excited to share this with you all! :)

REVIEW: RIMMEL STAY MATTE FOUNDATION

I've never tried Rimmel foundations prior to trying this one, so I wasn't sure what to really expect. Unfortunately, I don't think I will ever be buying a Rimmel foundation ever again thanks to the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation!

Let's talk about the packaging first. I actually enjoy it as it's small and compact and great for traveling. The product doesn't come out too fast and it's easy to control. It's also so cute, right?

I with the product was as great as the packaging. The consistency of this foundation is pretty thick and creamy. For me, this indicates that it's going to be medium to full coverage. I would compare the consistency to Revlon's Whipped foundation (which is my HG foundation). I immediately thought "Awesome! It's going to be just like my favorite foundation but have a matte finish." Once I started putting the foundation on, my hopes were sadly wrong. :(

I have dry-combination skin and boy did this foundation enhance the dryness to the extreme. The foundation stuck to my dry areas and also made my pores look HUGE. I've never had a huge problem with my pores, other foundations have been pretty good about minimizing them. Unfortunately, this foundation enhanced them like I've never seen before.

Definitely not a foundation for anyone that has remotely dry skin in the slightest. Don't even try layering this foundation if you want the full coverage because it becomes really cakey looking. I understand when you wear foundation it's not going to look 100% natural, but this foundation made it clearly apparent that you are wearing something on your face.

I tried using different primers underneath to see if this would help smooth my skin out enough for the foundation to lay on top of it and not cling to my dry spots. That was a major fail and I've come to the conclusion that this foundation just DOES NOT work for me at all.

So to all you girls out there with dry-combination skin, I suggest you stay far away from this foundation as it will do nothing but enhance your dryness!
